Your visit will begin with a warm welcome and an introduction to the rich history of Montalto Estate.

Following this, your private tour will allow you to explore the grandeur of the 18th century Georgian mansion along with its wonderful collection of original art and antiques. You will move through the main rooms of the house including the rebuilt east wing and the ladies sitting room with its original plastered ceilings by Robert West, created in 1758. During this time, you will be immersed in the history of Montalto as you hear many interesting and entertaining accounts of what life was like at the estate.

Your guided tour will finish up in The Chinese Room, a space which perfectly complements the traditional afternoon tea that awaits you. This will include a selection of delicate finger sandwiches accompanied by freshly baked scones and a variety of handcrafted miniature pastries and sweet treats. These will be enjoyed with our carefully selected loose leaf tea or freshly brewed coffee. After this, you will also be served a selection of homemade cakes to complete your afternoon tea experience.

Our afternoon teas are tailored towards the seasons with refreshing iced tea in the summer and festive mince pies in winter. All served on beautifully delicate crockery.

Montalto House is not open to the public, so this truly provides a superb, exclusive opportunity for you and your friends to enjoy something very special.
