The Café at Montalto is a stylish eatery which specialises in locally inspired dishes that people love – all served the Montalto way.
There are areas on the 400-acre estate where the gardening team, led by Head Gardener, Lesley Heron grows a sizeable amount of produce for use in The Café. Showcasing the produce of local, artisan suppliers and incorporating it into their dishes has enabled Montalto to nurture strong relations with them. Our chefs use many suppliers including Springmount Farm, Ewing’s Seafoods and Draynes Farm in the various weekly specials available for purchase. The reason for this is simple: supporting these producers as well as growing our own produce, helps to sustain the local economy and ensures that we can use the freshest, highest quality, naturally grown produce.

Although delicious food made simple is very much our ethos, we know that great food is never just about taste, it’s about the environment, the feelings it evokes, and the entire dining experience.
With this in mind, The Café at Montalto has been lovingly designed to capture the essence of the estate; the wonderful open-plan design and natural-themed decor are intended to complement the beautiful surroundings of Montalto.
Finally, trees, flowers, and shrubbery are prominent throughout the interior, while many of the eatery’s interior furniture pieces have been handmade from trees sourced on the estate. This ‘natural beauty everywhere’ design approach ensures a natural, memorable, and thoroughly relaxing dining environment, that’s conducive to healthy eating and personal wellbeing.
At The Café at Montalto we take pride in serving a diverse and delectable menu that caters to all taste buds. Our culinary team crafts each dish with the freshest ingredients, ensuring that every bite is bursting with flavour and quality. From delicious breakfast options and vibrant salads to savoury soups and daily specials, our offerings are designed to delight and satisfy. Because no meal is ever really complete without some sweet indulgence, you’ll want to top it all off with a delicious freshly-baked dessert from our patisserie counter. Our selection of sweet treats will make your eating experience one to remember.
Located in our stableyard area, The Stables allows for a more accessible, less formal dining occasion.

The Stables allows for dog-friendly sit-in meals, why not reward your four-legged friends with a Frozzys Frozen Yoghurt or treat them to our speciality Puppuccino? Enjoy takeaway treats from our ice cream parlour, alternatively delight in your feast at our outdoor seating tables in the stable yard whilst soaking in the sunshine.
