The Carriage Rooms at Montalto Celebrates 10 years

Offering one of the most beautiful venues on the island of Ireland, The Carriage Rooms at Montalto is a firm favourite with couples looking for a luxury exclusive-use wedding location. This venue has celebrated the most memorable day of hundreds of people’s lives and this week it has something to celebrate itself as it is turning 10 years old.

Over the last decade, it has seen many excited couples tying the knot, thousands of camera flashes, hundreds of thousands of flowers, many many happy tears and more laughter than it’s possible to quantify.

But this is a venue that doesn’t stand still and continues to transform and adapt to the changing needs of its couples. This year has seen a move towards rustic bench seating for the stunning outdoor wedding celebrations in the private Walled Garden and coming soon will be outdoor fire-pits nestled in the lawn adding another fantastic outdoor focal point for evening receptions.

From humble beginnings in the 1700s, Montalto Estate is steeped in history. The inspiration for The Carriage Rooms came about when a member of the Wilson family, who took over the estate in 1995, used the old threshing mill as the rustic setting for their own wedding. The seeds of a bold new vision for the future were sown and today this family-run enterprise boasts a world-wide reputation as an award-winning wedding destination and outstanding events venue.

Each element of the venue shows a real understanding of what couples want on their wedding day. From the beautiful Walled Garden, the original stone walls complimented by the wooden beams of the Banquet Hall, the unexpected atmospheric space for evening parties and the enchanting overnight stays in the Georgian Montalto House, there is beauty and elegance in every part of the day.

If you are planning a wedding or event, why not arrange a time to come and visit this stunning venue for yourself. Email info@thecarriagerooms.com for more information.
