As Spring blooms across Montalto Estate, April brings a wonderful mix of outdoor adventure, creativity and delicious indulgence for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re planning a family day out, a school activity, or simply looking to enjoy the beauty of the season, there’s something truly special waiting for you.
Easter Monday at Montalto: The Ultimate Day Out
Celebrate Easter Monday in style at Montalto with a fun-filled day out for the whole family on Monday 6th April, from 11am to 4pm. Set across 400 acres of beautiful estate grounds, this special event promises a vibrant mix of entertainment, outdoor adventures, and delicious food.
Visitors can enjoy live music throughout the day, hop aboard Granda Gordy’s Farm Adventure Tractor Ride, and let little ones run wild with Meadow Madness games, bouncy castles and inflatables. There’s also Little Chicks face painting and the Goosey Gander Hunt to keep everyone entertained.
When it’s time to refuel, tuck into BBQ favourites like burgers and hotdogs, grab a drink and sweet treat from the Coffee Cabin, or relax in The Cafe, open all day for sit-down breakfast and lunch. Be sure to explore the scenic Trails and Gardens, browse the shop, and don’t forget, four-legged friends are welcome too, as long as they’re on leads. Entry requires a Trails and Gardens ticket or active membership and pre-booking is recommended to secure your spot.
Join Our Goosey Gander Trail!
Spring has arrived at Montalto, but so has a little mischief! Captain Gander McFluff has left the gate open and our flock of geese has wandered off on an adventure across the estate, and we need your help to track them down.
Set off on our delightful Goosey Gander Trail and explore the grounds as you search for each of the missing geese hidden along the way. It’s the perfect excuse to get outdoors, enjoy the fresh spring air, and keep little ones entertained with a fun and interactive challenge. Find the whole flock and, once you’ve completed the trail, you might even earn yourself a special reward.
Running from 28th March to 11th April, this charming Easter activity is just £2 to take part, making it an easy and memorable day out for the whole family.
A Sweet Addition: Our Ice Cream Parlour
We’re delighted to announce the opening of our Ice Cream Parlour for the Spring Season. It’s the perfect spot to pause and treat yourself during your visit.
Indulge in freshly whipped ice cream, delicious sundaes and a selection of teas and coffees. Whether you’re stopping by after a walk through the estate or simply popping in for a treat, our parlour offers a cosy and welcoming space to relax and enjoy something sweet. And of course, we are dog friendly.
Adventure Awaits: The Tree House & Natural Play Area
A visit to Montalto wouldn’t be complete without exploring the incredible natural play area at The Low Wood.
At its heart stands our spectacular, wooden Tree House, an impressive structure designed and crafted here on the estate. The Tree House offers endless opportunities for adventure, imagination and fun. Children can enjoy a jungle bridge, a climbing tower, rope bridges and a thrilling forest floor slide!
Beyond the Tree House our custom designed natural play area encourages children of all ages to explore, discover and connect with nature. It’s a space designed to spark creativity, inspire interaction and embrace the simple joys of outdoor play.
