Halloween At Montalto: Can You Bring Back The Missing Moon?
Something very strange has happened at Montalto this Halloween… the moon has disappeared!
Without it, the night has been thrown into darkness and a mysterious curse is spreading through the woods. But there’s still hope… brave young adventurers are being called upon to take on a very important mission, follow the Trail of Tiny Terrors, explore the mysterious realms of Montalto and help uncover the missing words of an ancient spell.
But beware, you won’t be travelling alone! Along the way, you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled, your wits about you and your imagination switched on as you encounter strange sights, spooky characters and a few surprises hiding among the trees. Can you collect the words to the spell and help break the curse before it’s too late?
A Spooky Adventure Awaits
Get Ready to step into a Halloween world filled with mystery, magic and just the right amount of fright!
Your adventure will lead you through a series of spooky scenes and enchanting areas, each with its own surprises to discover. You might find yourself navigating Cobweb Crossroads, wandering through the Enchanted Thicket, investigating the Old Boneyard or stopping by Fangwood Corner.
And that’s only the beginning!
With mysterious pathways, ghoulish games, magical moments and plenty to discover, The Trail of Tiny Terrors is designed to let children become part of the story. Once your quest is complete, the adventure continues! Visit the Witch’s cottage, make some magical memories at the play park and then head to our haunted patch where every young explorer can choose their very own pumpkin to take home.
How Scary Is It?
The Trail of Tiny Terrors is designed especially for children and families, with a fun, magical atmosphere and just the right amount of spooky.
Expect creepy cobwebs, mysterious woods, friendly frights and Halloween fun rather than anything too terrifying. It’s perfect for little adventurers who love dressing up, exploring and getting into the Halloween spirit.
The experience takes place outdoors, so come prepared for an autumn adventure. We recommend wearing suitable warm clothing and wellies or sturdy footwear, as the trails and woodland areas can be muddy, especially after rainy weather. The Halloween trail is also wheelchair and pram friendly.
The trail takes approximately 1 hour, although families are welcome to spend as long as they wish within the Trails & Gardens to enjoy the play park and then finish with some pumpkin picking.

Multiple timeslots are available throughout the day:
10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm
Child aged 1–16: £13.50 – includes a pumpkin
Child under 1: Free – no ticket required, pumpkin not included
Adult aged 17+: £11.50 – pumpkin not included
Members:
Member Child aged 1–16: £11.00 – includes a pumpkin
Member Adult aged 17+: £9.00 – pumpkin not included
Additional pumpkins: £5 each
Carer ticket: £2.50 – pumpkin not included, phone to book
Quiet Sessions
For families who would prefer a calmer Halloween experience, dedicated ASD/Quiet sessions will take place on Tuesday 27th October at 9:30am and 10:30am.
These sessions provide a quieter opportunity to enjoy the Halloween trail, making the experience more comfortable for children who may find busier or louder environments challenging.
Please note that the Halloween trail requires a separate Halloween at Montalto ticket. A standard Trails & Gardens admission ticket does not provide access to the Halloween trail, and early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
