AED donated to Montalto Estate by Demesne Contracts

Local company Demesne Contracts Ltd. specialists in all aspects of groundworks and landscaping, have donated a defibrillation unit to Montalto Estate.  The company, who continue to work at the estate as part of the ongoing development, helped to install the unit in the play area at The Low Wood. It is hoped that, if the need arises, the equipment would help to save a life.

The team at Montalto Estate extends a huge thanks to Demesne Contracts Ltd. for this very worthy donation.

An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) needs to be used as soon as possible on the cardiac arrest patient to improve their chances of survival. Having a unit on the estate means that in the unfortunate event of a victim suffering sudden cardiac arrest, they will receive the best possible immediate care.

Andrew Davidson, Director, Demesne Contracts said, “We are a family run business that carries out a diverse range of tasks within the public and private sector. This could be from large public realm schemes to private patios and landscaping requirements. Our success is down to our highly skilled team providing a quality service, safely delivered within budget and on time. We are extremely proud in continuing to carry out works on behalf of the Wilson family and play a small part in the legacy of Montalto Estate”.

The AED provided by Demesne Contracts ltd uses ‘smart pad’ technology to detect patients in Ventricular Fibrillation Cardiac Arrest and provides rescue shocks to attempt to normalise the patient’s heart rhythm.
