Sous Chef – The Cafe at Montalto

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, and ensuring the highest standards of food production and preparation. Responsibilities:
– Manage the kitchen team, and supervise their daily activities
– Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
– Oversee food production, and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
– Collaborate with the relevant management team to develop new menu items and specials
– Train new kitchen staff members on proper food preparation techniques
– Monitor inventory levels, and place orders for ingredients as needed
– Maintain accurate records of food production, waste, and inventory

Experience:
– Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
– Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, and food preparation
– Excellent leadership and team management skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
